How much time...

How much time until you know that all you are doing is just hurting yourself.

The other day I was just talking to one of my coworkers, and we were discussing quite intense topic, that is when I asked her how much time until you know that you're just hurting yourself.

There is this odd behavior about human nature I am being observing lately, and that is the incapability of humans to stay happy for more than 72hrs straight. It's almost like an addiction to sadness, to hurt, to anger to ruining everything.

We always talk about addictions like alcohol, cigarette, etc. which can cause you slow death but what about the hurt and anger. If you ask me, I think unhappiness is more fatal for our life. All we want is someone else to understand us someone else to love us, someone else d this and that for us, Why? Why someone else, why can't I just be happy with myself why do I need constant company of someone, is it love?

Well no, it's not love, it's the fear. Fear of tolerating my own self, fear of facing my own self because I know I am unbearable.

It's so odd I know the problem yet it's so difficult to walk away from it, because I am afraid.  I call this mentality as fear of life.

Fear in some amount is good for our well-being It's good to have fear so that you study for your exam, it is good to fear losing a job, so you don't slack off at work more often, but uncontrollable fear of life is very dangerous.

There is so much to express yet so little I say, you know when your mental health is taking a toll on your life. If anyone is reading this, I am not writing this as an article or something maybe I am just a little sentimental right now or something, but it is just to assure it will be alright, and it is okay to seek help.

Don't let your fear of life hurt you, it's time to accept and ask for help, obviously to the professionals. Also, remember, it's your duty to heal yourself.

Let's not make one particular month as mental health awareness month, let the whole year and many more to come be it. So, on this note, Happy mental health awareness year!!
